Welfare Centre Colchester

Design and Build

The works were carried out as part of the very large Colchester Garrison PFI project.

The Welfare Hub is steel framed and contains offices and shops at ground floor level. It has fairfaced blockwork walls. The building is curved on plan and has a curved aluminium standing seam roof, it is fully serviced and has an air handling plant room at first floor level. The usable area of the building is approximately 660sq.m.

The building provides regimental welfare and WRVS office facilities associated with an internet café accommodating 20 terminals and five retail units.

There are male and female toilets and a Disabled WC which is also available for use by people working in or visiting the adjacent buildings.
