Company Profile
The Company was formed by the current Managing Director, Ernie Moorhouse, in March 1978. He had gained twenty years valuable experience with national contractors working his way up to a senior position.
Yesterday
Sexton Construction began with a labour force of just ten operatives working from a small office. Steady growth over the next seven years meant that by 1985 larger premises were required. The present office and workshop was purpose built by The Company to enable longer term expansion plans. Apart from accommodating our management team, we are able to maintain and store our plant and equipment ranging from hand tools up to JCB diggers and cranes.
Today
We undertake projects ranging up to £4.5m contract value throughout East Anglia and the South East. Recently we have completed a number of major developments on the Colchester Garrison site, a group practice medical centre in Brighton and a Technology Block in Barking for the local authority school. Other major clients include the Ministry of Defence, Port of Felixstowe and the Co Op. We also invest in our own high class housing developments most recently in Frinton and Colchester.
Tommorow
We continue to seek new blue chip clients and investment opportunities to continue our measured expansion. We are in a sound financial position and consequently we are in a strong position when it comes to negotiating terms for the highest quality materials.
